Rob Pierce
Rob Pierce was born a musician. As a young boy he sat down at his dad’s drum kit to teach himself to play. And as a teenager he did the same with a piano, playing along to his favorite LP and learning by ear. Soon Rob picked up the guitar, and as anyone who knows him will attest, he rarely puts it down.
At Indiana University, Rob left the aspiration of medical school behind, as he realized that his talent was much more than that … it was actually his calling. And after graduating Rob headed for Los Angeles playing drums with “The Modern Day Saints.” In mid-90’s Rob reunited with Terry White and Kevin James, solidifying a musical trio that remains intact to this day as the YellowHammers. Throughout it all, Rob was writing songs, uncovering yet another talent. Far more than just performing music Rob mastered writing music.
The band traveled back to Chicago and Rob moved from the back of the band to the front, passing on his drumsticks and picking up his guitar. Since then, Rob has sharpened his skills a performer, playing live as many as five nights a week as a house musician. Now-a-days, Rob can be heard most every Tuesday night at The Friendly Tap on Roosevelt Road in Berwyn, IL.
