Kevin James
Kevin learned how to play guitar so he could be bigger than Scott Baio. Sitting in his basement with four other guitar players drew him to the conclusion that maybe a switch to bass guitar wouldn’t be a bad idea. After forming a heavy metal band, ‘White Lightning,’ a new wave synthesizer band, ‘The Products’ and then ‘The Convertibles’ a rock-a-billy band, Kevin joined the Modern Day Saints in 1984. Along with Terry White, and two other musicians, they toured the Midwest for five solid years before relocating to Los Angeles. In 1989, Rob Pierce needed a place to live and the band needed a drummer. The L.A. line-up worked their fingers to the bone before finally disbanding in 1992. After years of good natured, hard driving rock and roll, Kevin couldn’t shake Pierce and White, so on a Thursday night they created the Yellowhammers.
